Diclofenac sodium is considered a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, Diclofenac is derived from phenylacetic acid from the group of carboxylic acids. It has the following properties Analgesic action, Anti-pyretic action, Anti-inflammatory action
Indications :
It is used in cows, sheep, goats, camels, horses and dogs in the following cases: inflammatory and degenerative rheumatic diseases, and non-rheumatic inflammations that cause severe pain - rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, myositis, inflammatory fibrosis, tendonitis, sheath and nerve inflammation - cases of pain after surgical operations, tendon sprains and others - cases of fever - musculoskeletal pain - Reducing swelling resulting from acute and supra-acute mastitis, uterine inflammation, bruises and wounds
Dosage and Administration : Intramuscular injection.
Cattle, horses and camels: 2.5 ml per 100 kg live weight dail
Sheep and goats: 1 ml per 40 kg live weight daily
Dogs: 0.25 - 0.5 ml per 10 kg live weight
Precautions :
Do not use with animals that are allergic to the preparation
Do not give to cats, poultry and birds of prey
Do not give with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or within 24 hours
Do not give to pregnant females in the first three months of pregnancy
Do not give to animals suffering from renal, hepatic or vascular insufficiency
Do not share the drug with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
Side effects :
May cause colic in horses in addition to some other negative side effects that may appear in cases of overdose may include weight loss and stomach ulcers.
